Germany plans to announce easier immigration process, which will introduce its version of Germany green card, to make it more easier for foreigners to move and work in the country. Its aim is to make it easier for non-EU nationals to find work.

What is Germany Green Card

The new Green Card, which will be known as opportunity card or Chancenkarte. It’s a new points-based immigration system that would allow migrants to come to Germany even without a confirmed job offer. The German visa for job seekers is already available, but the green card will make it easier for individuals to get a job in Germany.

Eligibility criteria for the green card

There are four conditions in the eligibility criteria and applicants must fulfill any of the three. The criteria are listed below:

• Candidates should have a professional qualification or a university degree.
• Professional experience of at least three years.
• Language skill or previous residence in Germany.
• The age of the applicants should be under 35.

The German government will limit the number of cards issued each year according to demand in the labor market.

“This is about qualified immigration, an unbureaucratic process, and that’s why it’s important that we say that those who have the opportunity card can earn a living while they are here,” Labor Minister Hubertus Heil told the WDR public radio station.
